    I have discovered a South Florida Treasure. Needed to re-sod our entire back yard, including sprinkler repairs, and major Landscaping clean up of overgrown and wild growth. Requested three estimates, South Florida Terra Systems Phillip Coggins came to the property within 6 hours to make a hands on assessment of the irrigation system, measured the re-sod sight, and noted other issues for the overall site. The other two companies called arrived days later and spent about five minutes observing the work needed without any mention of irrigation needs to support a complete re-sodding. When all estimates were in; South Florida Terra Systems was 25% and 33% less than the other two. Phillip and his crew prepared for the re-sodding day ahead by de-weeding the entire area, completed some minor soil movement and repaired the existing sprinkler system. When the day arrived for the full re-sodding Phillip and his crew were on time early in the morning and started work fast, efficiently, and professionally, the crew worked at amazing speed under a blistering 90+ degree sun with little rest. I was quite impressed. Before my retirement I was responsible for the appearance of a large Boca Raton private school where appearance was paramount. I had been responsible for the purchase of hundreds of pallets of sod, however I had never seen or experienced the high quality of the sod Phillip had found and installed so efficiently.     Bought a home in East Boca that needed a total landscape redo. Brought in a landscape architect who I paid $4000 to draw up an incredible overhaul of the front and back as well as some hardscape changes to the driveway and more. I bid it out to three companies. Phillip at South Florida terra Systems won our hearts and we gave him the job. Somehow we just trusted him as an owner/operator to do right by us. He didn’t disappoint.     South Florida Terra Systems is not a 4.9 Google review. They are a 5+. I needed my landscaping fixed after putting in a pool. Phillip suggested design ideas that we had not considered. When I asked how soon they could come because we were looking to close county permits , Phillip said he would reschedule other work to accommodate us and he did. The yard looks amazing and we couldn't be happier with the work. It was truly a pleasure to work with them and I highly recommend them. See more See less

    I needed a small tree removed and a bougainvillea staked into an upright position. The tree's roots were sending shoots up into the hedge and bougainvillea. Philip and his crew followed those roots and pulled them out. He promised to return if the tree starts to grow again and use root killer on it. The staked bougainvillea looks wonderful upright.     I did contact Phillip like a month ago, he was very professional on the telephone, I invited him to go to Highland Towers in Highland Beach, FL. Very timely before we decided who to use for the renovation of our grounds after we completed the renovation of the oldest building in Highland beach which was completely renovated, balconies, windows, sliders, railing, exit doors, you name it it was a three year project. Highland Towers is the first building built in 1959, solid concrete strong 50 apartments 7 stories, with excellent views to the ocean. I wanted you to know that we were very impressed by the manager of this company, who was so exact bringing the sod and the 12 guys to do this job.     We can't say enough good things about this company. They are great! We asked Phillip for a quote - found out about him based on the great reviews here -- and we were not disappointed. Our job was pretty modest, and Phillip took that into account.     Terra Systems are now my go to for all things having to do with landscaping, lawn care and irrigation. We love our new sod and flower beds around our pool. The grass that was put in was healthy and is doing amazing. I have also used Terra for a few irrigation problems that we were having. Phillip came out to take care of the problems immediately.     Not only are the prices great, but the quality of work is amazing.     I recently hired South Florida Terra Systems to cut down a large tree and tear out and replace 600 sq ft of sod. In addition, they pruned 70 ft of Clusia bushes from 15 ft tall down to 8 ft tall. They also analyzed and programed my sprinkler system to be sure the new sod gets the water it needs. I could not believe how neat and meticulous this team worked.     Phillip and his crew were at my house all day today. They arrived on time and very prepared. The crew is kind, pleasant, and they work hard! My front yard had two huge dirt piles removed, then transferring the dirt to the backyard to level the ground, and completely fixed my side yard. For the side yard, I did not want anyone walking on it because it the pathway was so uneven. Phillip and his guys made the ground even, then put stepping stones evenly from the front gate to the backyard, then put mulch down as well. They used the stepping stones that were already in my backyard. They worked for seven hours straight in the heat. What a tremendous team. I plan on using them again! See more See less

    When my sprinkler system wasn’t working, I contacted Terra Systems to diagnose the issue. Phillip came out to the house that day and was able to offer some cost-effective suggestions to get my system up and running. I ended up hiring Terra to resod the yard and for ongoing maintenance.     Phillip is The Lawn Whisperer!! He and his excellent crew brought our lawn back to health, while respecting our wish to use fewer pesticides and herbicides, and wherever possible, more native plants. For our beds, borders and containers, he researched a range of choices and pricing that fit our budget for new trees, flowers and mulch. We have dogs: he goes out of his way to make sure that we do not install plants that may be toxic to them and that gates are firmly closed when he’s on site. He notes and fixes flaws in our irrigation system. He keeps our trees properly trimmed for storm season. He continues to personally inspect all the plantings for health and vigor, recommending safe treatments as needed. Most importantly, in addition to crafting a beautiful, harmonious landscape, he understands the yard as an ecosystem and has worked with us to promote the presence of pollinators. A time sensitive repair was needed and after several companies did not show for scheduled appointments, a random search led me to this company. A thorough discussion on the phone resulted in a consultation and partial repair the next day, and follow up the day after. The owner was extremely receptive to our needs.     Phil was one of the nicest, respectful young men I have met, I am a contractor and business owner myself who deals w high end 5* homes and contractors everyday, Phil is extremely educated in his field and gives amazing tips to help w budgets with but yet not take a way from the beauty of your home. He was on my house for at least 2-3 month with all the installation of Japanese Blueberries trees, Fern trees, palm tress, all new grass several flowered plants and mulching.     I have had 6 different landscapers since I bought my house 7 years ago. 6th time is the charm. Philip and his crew are great. Philip responds to questions, keeps in touch, has helped me make landscaping decisions because I have no clue about what would work in the sun/shade, etc. I am so grateful that I have found South Florida Terra Systems. My search for landscapers is over!! FAST FOWARD, I had to change my grasses in front and back, tear out bushes I didn’t like and put in new things. Philip is amazing and patient showing me different plants /trees, etc. My yard is gorgeous. Best looking in the neighborhood. (that’s what my neighbors say) and they maintain it beautifully.     Our lawn has had some dry spots and it appeared that the sprinklers weren’t getting the best coverage. I called around to three other companies who couldn’t come out for multiple weeks. Reached out to South Florida Terra and Phillip picked up right away. I let him know the issue and told him we’d be leaving town next week. He came by that same afternoon and checked everything, gave me a call, explained everything he did in detail, gave solid advice on next steps, and was truly invested in making sure our lawn got back to good shape.
